****************************************************************************

A a revised planning application for a chicken shed/egg production facility has been lodged with The Shropshire Planning Department.

To view please go to www.shropshire.gov.uk  planning, and follow the links to application ref. 19/01154/FUL.

WHAT WE ARE OBJECTING TO:

Planning permission has been re-submitted for an industrial egg unit  88.5m x 30.45m, with an eaves height of 3.35m and a ridge height of 7.430m plus associated feed bins, hard standings and new highway access for 32,000 hens.

The proposed development will be situated on the road between Betton and Norton-In-Hales, on the main entrance to the village.

This will impact YOU:

  • Just three fields outside Norton-In-Hales
  • Devastating environmental impact on the area of rare timbered pastures landscape character
  • Toxic pollution from ammonia emissions – the hidden killer
  • An eyesore at the gateway to our village
  • More HGVs/tractors on an already dangerous road
  • Noise and light pollution
  • A beautiful green corridor will be broken up
  • Threats to multiple heritage assets
  • Habitat Loss for protected species
  • Property Values will be hit

THIS WILL NOT STOP HERE – This is a Poultry Development; single facilities usually expand…
